Universal Orlando is taking over Super Bowl LX with a brand-new campaign that’s about way more than roller coasters and butterbeer. The resort just unveiled “This Changes Everything”—a multi-part marketing platform launching during NBC and Peacock’s broadcast of the big game on February 8, 2026.
According to The Main Street Mouse, this isn’t your typical “come ride our rides” commercial. Developed with creative agency Lucky Generals, the campaign focuses on something deeper: the transformative power of a Universal Orlando vacation. The resort has evolved into a weeklong destination featuring four theme parks (Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay, and the brand-new Epic Universe), plus 11 resort hotels—and this campaign wants you to see it as a place where real personal change can happen.
Four Stories of Transformation
The heart of the campaign is a series of four guest stories that follow people from different walks of life as they experience their own transformative moments at Universal Orlando.
The 60-second Super Bowl spot, titled “Lil’ Bro,” airs just before halftime and tells the story of a younger brother who’s tired of being reminded of his youth by his older sibling. The other three stories in the series include “Blended” (a blended family taking their first vacation together), “Smile” (a teenager with braces who has lost her confidence), and “Super Fan” (a group of friends that includes someone who just can’t seem to let loose).
Each narrative ends with the guest experiencing a meaningful personal transformation—whether that’s finally being seen as an equal, finding connection with new family members, rediscovering joy, or learning to let go and have fun.
The campaign was directed by Ben Quinn at Superprime, and you can already preview the spots on Universal’s official channels before the Super Bowl airs.
Beyond the Big Game
“This Changes Everything” isn’t just a one-and-done Super Bowl moment. Universal is rolling out the campaign across multiple platforms throughout 2026, starting with a partnership with X that will focus on moments of transformation during major sporting events in February.
Additional collaborations are planned with Twitch and TikTok, extending the campaign’s reach to where audiences are already spending their time.
Alice Norsworthy, President of Global Marketing at Universal Orlando, summed up the campaign’s core message: “Universal Orlando isn’t your typical theme park destination” but rather “a place where you can let go” and share meaningful moments with the people you love.
Why This Matters for Your Next Trip
If you’ve been thinking of Universal Orlando as just a quick day trip or a theme park add-on to your Disney vacation, this campaign is a direct challenge to that mindset. With Epic Universe now open and the resort continuing to expand its hotel offerings, Universal is positioning itself as a full-fledged vacation destination—one that’s worth dedicating an entire week to experience.
The “This Changes Everything” message is clear: this is a place where families connect, where teens find their confidence, where siblings see each other differently, and where friends finally relax. Whether or not a 60-second commercial can capture all of that remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure—Universal Orlando is making its biggest play yet to change how we think about theme park vacations.
The Super Bowl spot airs February 8, just before halftime. If you miss it live, you can catch all four campaign stories on Universal’s website and social channels.
