According to Universal’s official press release (June 26, 2026), HHN 2026 runs 49 select nights from August 28 through November 1, built around the theme “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares,” with Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow serving as the event’s twisted ringmasters.

The 2026 lineup delivers 10 haunted houses and four scare zones. Universal confirmed a 5-and-5 split on the mazes: five licensed properties and five original creations.

The entertainment slate leans on returning favorites. “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” is back at Disneyland Park for the full run, and “World of Color — Season of Light” returns to Disney California Adventure, blending scenes from films like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Inside Out” with holiday music. Santa Claus will greet guests November 13 through December 24 at Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn. On the decor side, Disney says more than 80,000 lights will illuminate Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle each evening during Wintertime Enchantment, paired with simulated snowfall along Main Street, U.S.A. Fan-favorite attraction overlays return too, including “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday.

According to Disney Cruise Line’s official announcement, San Diego will host two Disney ships at once for the first time during the fall 2026 to spring 2027 season, a meaningful step up for a homeport that has historically seen only intermittent Disney service.

Here is how the two ships split the season. The Disney Wonder homeports in San Diego from October through April, sailing three- to seven-night itineraries to destinations including Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and Puerto Vallarta. The Disney Magic arrives in October for three- to seven-night voyages, then repositions on a 14-night Panama Canal transit to Galveston, where it stays through April 2027. Disney also confirmed new and returning itineraries for fall 2027 and spring 2028 across San Juan, Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, and Galveston, adding fresh stops including Fuerte Amador and Colón, Panama.
