Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Gets an Opening Date, a Room Count, and a Booking Window

According to Disney’s official announcement on the Disney Parks Blog (August 27, 2026), Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will open July 1, 2027, with 967 rooms spread across an unusually wide range of accommodation types. The lineup runs from duo studios that sleep two all the way up to three-bedroom grand villas that sleep 12, plus standalone one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses and the six-guest Hidden Willow Presidential Suite.

The number that matters most for planners is the booking timeline, and it arrives fast. Disney Vacation Club members can start early cash bookings on October 6, 2026, Annual Passholders follow on October 7, and general public reservations open October 8. That is a roughly ten-month runway between when the phones open and when the doors do.

Disney also confirmed three dining venues: Moonglade, a table-service lakefront restaurant; Bay Lake Provisions, a quick-service spot; and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill at the pool. The resort will offer complimentary transportation across Walt Disney World and, notably, boat service to Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival Opens With Its Full 2026 Concert Lineup

EPCOT’s biggest festival of the year is officially underway. According to Disney’s official announcement on the Disney Parks Blog, the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival runs daily from August 27 through November 21, 2026, and it is included with regular EPCOT admission—no separate ticket required.

The headline for return visitors is the Eat to the Beat concert series, which plays nightly from August 27 through November 16 with three sets each evening at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8 p.m. near the American Adventure in World Showcase. Disney confirmed nine brand-new EPCOT debuts for 2026—including Lauren Alaina, Fitz and The Tantrums, and Grace Potter—alongside returning festival staples Boyz II Men, Yellowcard, and The Beach Boys. Seating is first-come, first-served unless you book the Eat to the Beat Dining Package.

Beyond the food booths, Disney is adding “Cheers to Cheese!”, an all-new interactive exhibit opening September 18 in CommuniCore Hall.

Public City of Anaheim permit filings for the project point to behind-the-scenes work rather than a re-theme: a PA system replacement, electrical upgrades, and other backend modifications. Disney has not signaled any major guest-facing change to the ride experience itself, so the swings, the central tower, and the signature tornado climb set to the William Tell Overture return essentially as riders remember them.
