Universal Express Pass Rides List: Every Attraction Covered
Universal Express Pass covers most rides across Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Here's the full list, plus what's excluded at Epic Universe.
Universal Express Pass covers most — but not all — attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, letting you skip the regular standby line once (standard) or as many times as you like (Unlimited). It does not cover every headliner: the newest rides, virtual-queue attractions, and single-rider-only experiences are commonly excluded, and Epic Universe operates largely outside the classic two-park Express program. Always confirm day-of eligibility in the Universal Orlando app, because ride rosters and Express coverage change over time.
If you’re deciding whether to buy, the real question is which rides you’ll actually skip lines on. Here’s the park-by-park breakdown.
Universal Studios Florida rides typically covered
At Universal Studios Florida, Express Pass typically applies to the majority of major attractions, including:
- Revenge of the Mummy
- Transformers: The Ride-3D
- Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
- MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack
- The Simpsons Ride
- Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
- E.T. Adventure
- Fast & Furious – Supercharged
- Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon
- Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts is included in Express Pass today — Universal added Express access to it in 2017 (it was excluded only during its first few years after opening in 2014), so you can skip the standby line here just like the other headliners.
Islands of Adventure rides typically covered
Islands of Adventure has a similar pattern — most attractions are covered, with one or two big holdouts:
- The Incredible Hulk Coaster
- The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
- Doctor Doom’s Fearfall
- Jurassic World VelociCoaster (often included, but verify — demand-driven headliners can toggle)
- Skull Island: Reign of Kong
- The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride
- The Cat in the Hat
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure lost its Express Pass access as of July 1, 2026 — it’s standby line only now (no virtual queue), so arrive at rope drop for the shortest wait. Note that Jurassic Park River Adventure is closed for a lengthy refurbishment, so it won’t factor into your day for now.
Epic Universe: a different system
Epic Universe — Universal’s newest Orlando park — has its own separate Universal Express Pass, purchased separately from the classic two-park pass. It is not bundled with the two-park Express Pass you buy for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, but it works the same way (a physical Express entrance you scan into) and covers most Epic Universe attractions. If an “Epic Universe rides included” claim looks too clean, treat it with caution: check the Universal Orlando app for the day of your visit before assuming any specific Epic Universe attraction is Express-eligible.
What Express Pass does not cover
Across all parks, the recurring exclusions are:
- Select newest or highest-demand headliners (e.g., Hagrid’s)
- Virtual-queue-only attractions
- Single-rider-only experiences and some shows/experiences
- Anything down for refurbishment
Express Pass vs. Express Pass Unlimited
The two tiers differ only in how many times you skip the line:
| Feature | Universal Express Pass | Universal Express Pass Unlimited |
|---|---|---|
| Skip the line per ride | Once per participating ride | Unlimited times |
| Ride roster covered | Same list | Same list |
| Best for | One efficient pass through the park | Re-riding favorites all day |
| Relative cost | Lower | Higher |
When we tested a busy summer day at Universal Orlando, Unlimited earned its keep specifically because of re-rides on the big coasters — if you only plan to hit each attraction once, standard Express is usually enough.
