Disneyland Paris just dropped the news that theme park fans around the world have been waiting for: Disney Adventure World officially opens on March 29, 2026.
The completely reimagined second park—formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park—represents the single biggest investment in the resort’s 30+ year history, with a price tag of €2 billion. And after years of construction updates and speculation, we finally know exactly what guests will experience on opening day.
Three Immersive Lands at Launch
Disney Adventure World will debut with three fully realized lands, each offering distinct experiences:
World of Frozen takes guests to the kingdom of Arendelle with attractions including Frozen Ever After (a boat ride through scenes from the films) and a spinner ride that whisks families through the skies above the Norwegian-inspired landscape.
Worlds of Pixar brings together multiple Pixar universes, from Monsters, Inc. to Finding Nemo, with attractions and themed environments that immerse guests in these animated worlds.
Marvel Avengers Campus, which actually opened in 2022, continues to anchor the park with its Spider-Man and Iron Man attractions.
What’s Still Coming
A fourth land themed to The Lion King is in development and will open at a later date, further expanding the park’s footprint. When complete, Disney Adventure World will be nearly double the size of the original Walt Disney Studios Park.
The Nighttime Spectacular
Perhaps the most intriguing announcement involves the new nighttime show, “Disney Cascade of Lights.” The production will feature something never before attempted at any Disney park: an aquatic drone system that creates water-based visual effects synchronized with projection mapping, fountains, and fireworks.
What This Means for Your Travel Plans
If you’ve been on the fence about a European Disney trip, March 2026 just became a compelling target date. Disneyland Paris has always offered something distinct from its American counterparts—the architecture of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the European flair of Main Street, the more adult-friendly dining options—but the second park has historically felt underdeveloped compared to Epcot or Disney California Adventure.
That calculus changes dramatically with Disney Adventure World. A proper second park gives Disneyland Paris the two-park experience that justifies multi-day visits and makes the transatlantic journey worthwhile for serious Disney fans.
Expect hotel and ticket packages to move quickly once official booking windows open.
