H2O Glow After Hours Is Back at Typhoon Lagoon — and the 2026 Lineup Is the Best One Yet

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon H2O Glow After Hours returns for summer 2026 with Powerline Max headlining, more weekend dates, and general public tickets going on sale April 24.

H2O Glow After Hours Is Back at Typhoon Lagoon — and the 2026 Lineup Is the Best One Yet

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park is getting its annual summer glow-up, and this year’s H2O Glow After Hours event looks like the most stacked version of the night yet.

Disney officially announced the 2026 H2O Glow After Hours dates and details on April 21, according to The Main Street Mouse, and there are a few things worth knowing before tickets go on sale to the general public later this week.

What Is H2O Glow After Hours?

For the uninitiated: H2O Glow After Hours is a separately ticketed evening event held at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. The park transforms after dark with neon and colorful LED lighting, and ticket holders get access starting at 6:00 PM — two hours before the event officially kicks off at 8:00 PM. The event runs until 11:00 PM, giving guests five full hours in the park.

The appeal is pretty clear. Typhoon Lagoon with shorter lines, cooler temperatures, complimentary snacks, and a full DJ beach party is a very different experience from the midday crowds of peak summer. If you’ve ever tried to enjoy a Florida water park in July without waiting 45 minutes for every slide, you understand the value here.

What’s New for 2026

The character lineup this year is getting some fun additions. Powerline Max from A Goofy Movie is headlining the event — a genuinely nostalgic choice that should get plenty of millennial parents excited. Donald Duck and Daisy Duck will be joining the DJ Dance Party on the beach, while Chip ‘n’ Dale (as the Rescue Rangers), Scrooge McDuck, and Launchpad McQuack are also appearing throughout the evening.

The event runs on 13 select nights from June 2 through September 5, 2026. Disney has added more weekend dates to this year’s schedule compared to previous summers, which is a meaningful change for families who can’t easily restructure their entire trip around a weeknight event.

Pricing and When to Buy

Tickets are tiered by date, starting at $85 per person (plus tax) and ranging up to $89 depending on the night. Children ages 3 to 9 receive a $20 discount off the adult price. Annual Passholders, eligible Disney Vacation Club Members, and Water Park Seasonal Passholders save 20%.

Here’s the important piece on timing: guests staying at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and Shades of Green were already able to purchase tickets starting April 21. General public ticket sales open April 24 — meaning if you’re planning a summer trip, this Thursday is when you want to be online.

Specific event dates to mark include June 2, 13, 19, and 27; July 3, 7, 17, 24, and 31; August 9, 22, and 29; and September 5.

Is It Worth It?

That depends entirely on your travel style. If you’re already paying to stay on-site and have a family that loves water parks, H2O Glow After Hours is genuinely one of the better value-add events Disney runs. The combination of extended early entry, shorter waits across all nine major water attractions (including Crush ‘n’ Gusher, Humunga Kowabunga, and Miss Adventure Falls), complimentary ice cream, popcorn, and fountain drinks, and a proper beach party atmosphere is hard to replicate during regular park hours.

For families with kids who are at peak A Goofy Movie awareness — or parents who just want to introduce them to one of the more criminally underrated Disney animated films — Powerline Max as the event headliner is a legitimate draw.

The big caveat is weather. Florida summer evenings can be volatile, and the event doesn’t offer automatic rain dates or refunds for bad weather. If you’re building your itinerary around a specific H2O Glow night, it’s worth going in with a backup plan.

How to Get Tickets

Tickets can be purchased through Disney’s official website or by calling Disney Reservations at (407) 934-7639. If you’re a passholder or DVC member, log in before purchasing to make sure the discount applies at checkout.

With general public sales opening April 24 and only 13 available nights across the entire summer, the more popular dates — particularly weekend evenings in June and early July — will likely move fast.
