Hallmark and Disney World Are Teaming Up for a New Christmas Movie—And It’s Filming Right Now

For the first time in its history, Hallmark Channel is partnering with Walt Disney World to create an original holiday movie filmed entirely on location at the Florida resort. The film, titled “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True,” stars Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle and is currently in production at the parks.

The rom-com follows Lindsey (Chabert) and her extended family as they head to Walt Disney World for what should be a magical Christmas vacation. But her holiday plans take an unexpected turn when she discovers her hotel room is next door to Philip (Van Winkle), a guy from a disastrous first date who’s also visiting the resort with his family. As the two keep running into each other throughout their stay, the initial awkwardness begins to melt away, and they discover they might have more in common than they thought. Thanks to a little Disney magic—and a wish Lindsey makes in the Cinderella Fountain—their rivalry could turn into something more romantic.

The movie also features Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander in supporting roles, with Patrick Renna making a cameo appearance. Ryan Landels wrote and directed the film, which will air during Hallmark’s 17th annual Countdown to Christmas programming block in late 2026.

This collaboration isn’t entirely out of left field—Hallmark and Disney share a long history dating back decades. Hallmark founder J.C. Hall and Walt Disney himself were friends, both sharing Kansas City roots. That friendship led to Hallmark’s very first licensed products, including the first-ever greeting card featuring Mickey Mouse.

To celebrate the partnership, Hallmark and Disney plan to release an exclusive collection of products inspired by the movie next holiday season, including greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, and gift wrap.

The announcement came during Hallmark’s “The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday” special that aired on Saturday, December 7. For Disney World fans and Hallmark movie enthusiasts alike, this crossover is shaping up to be a match made in holiday movie heaven. Keep an eye out for potential film crews and closed-off areas if you’re visiting the parks this month—you might just catch a glimpse of the production in action.
