Royal Caribbean has quietly rolled out something we never saw coming—and cruise fans are already rushing to try their luck.

As of Thursday, November 13, the cruise line debuted “The Price is Right — Everyone’s a Contestant” aboard Utopia of the Seas, bringing the iconic game show experience to the high seas. According to Royal Caribbean Blog, Cruise Director Marc Walker confirmed the line had been conducting “secret rehearsals” before the big reveal.

Here’s How It Works

The cruise ship version mirrors the classic TV format we all know—guess the retail prices of consumer goods, play mini-games like Plinko, Cliffhanger, and Hole in One, and compete for prizes.

And we’re not talking about small prizes. Participants can win a new car, along with cash prizes and other rewards.

But there’s a catch: While watching the show is completely free, you’ll need to pay to play. Participation starts at $15 USD per person.

Walker noted that players should “make sure your phones are charged—you don’t need to pay for WiFi to play,” suggesting the experience involves some kind of mobile interaction.

Where You Can Play (For Now)

Currently, “The Price is Right” is only available on two ships: Star of the Seas (where it debuted first) and Utopia of the Seas (as of November 13). The show takes place in the Royal Theater and runs for about 45 minutes.

Royal Caribbean hasn’t confirmed whether the game show will expand fleetwide, but given the buzz around the announcement, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it roll out to more ships soon.

Why This Matters

This isn’t just a fun novelty—it’s part of a broader trend of cruise lines adding unique, interactive entertainment experiences to compete for guests’ attention and dollars. Norwegian Cruise Line already offers “Price is Right Live” on its ships with similar vehicle prizes.

For Royal Caribbean, adding a pay-to-play game show creates a new revenue stream while giving passengers something genuinely different to do at sea. And let’s be honest—who hasn’t watched The Price is Right and thought, “I could totally win that”?

Now you can find out if you actually could.
