Universal Orlando Just Dropped Its Full 2026 Event Calendar—And You Need to Start Planning NOW

If you’ve been waiting to book your Universal Orlando trip this year, the wait is over. Universal just released its complete 2026 event schedule today, and it’s packed with everything from Halloween Horror Nights to Mardi Gras celebrations spanning nearly every month of the year.

According to Fantasy Land News, Universal Orlando Resort unveiled its official event lineup on January 8, giving guests the planning tool they’ve been asking for since Epic Universe opened last year.

What’s Happening at Universal in 2026

The calendar kicks off this month with Rock the Universe on January 23-24, Florida’s largest Christian music festival taking over Universal Studios Florida. If that’s not your scene, you won’t have to wait long for the next big celebration.

Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval runs from February 7 through April 4, bringing nightly parades, beads, global cuisine, and live concerts on select dates. It’s one of Universal’s most popular annual events, and this year’s nearly two-month run gives you plenty of flexibility to experience it.

Harry Potter fans get not one but two dedicated celebrations. Butterbeer Season from March 1 to May 31 promises new treats and exclusive merchandise themed around the wizarding world’s signature drink. Then Back to Hogwarts takes over from August 1 to September 1, marking the start of the Hogwarts school year with special activities across The Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas.

High school seniors and middle school graduates can celebrate at Grad Events on April 17, 18, 24, and 30, featuring live DJs and street entertainment designed specifically for this milestone moment.

The Big Ones: Summer and Fall

Summer kicks into high gear from May through August with Summer Fun, bringing attractions, parades, concerts, and the CineSational symphonic show on select dates. It’s Universal’s answer to those long summer vacation days when families want maximum entertainment.

But the crown jewel of Universal’s event calendar is Halloween Horror Nights, running select nights from August 28 through November 1. This year marks the event’s 35th anniversary, and while Universal hasn’t revealed specific haunted house details yet, the extended run gives you more opportunities to experience what’s consistently ranked as one of the world’s premier Halloween events.

Passholder Appreciation Days from August 15 to September 30 reward annual passholders with exclusive perks, making it an ideal time for frequent visitors to maximize their benefits.

Ending the Year with Holiday Magic

Universal closes out 2026 with Holidays at Universal from November 14 through January 3, 2027. Expect Christmas celebrations throughout the resort, Grinchmas activities in Seuss Landing, and the fan-favorite Macy’s Holiday Parade.

CityWalk sweetens the deal with viewing parties for major sporting events throughout the year, including the Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and Super Bowl.

Why This Matters for Your Planning

With Epic Universe now in the mix and park-hopping available for guests with 3+ day park-to-park tickets, Universal has become a multi-day destination that competes directly with Disney World for vacation time. This calendar release gives you the information you need to align your visit with events that matter most to your family.

Whether you’re planning around Halloween Horror Nights, timing your trip for Mardi Gras, or simply want to avoid peak event crowds, having the full year mapped out means you can book with confidence. And with several events spanning multiple weeks or months, there’s flexibility to find dates that work with your schedule and budget.

The takeaway is simple: Universal Orlando is no longer just a theme park—it’s a year-round events destination with programming designed to bring guests back multiple times per year.
